KTV Market Day

The annual KTV Market Day in the Free State is this year to be held on Saturday, 2 September 2006, at Checkers Hyper Centre, Fleurdal, Bloemfontein.
KTV identified the need to create future entrepreneurs when it launched its first KTV Market Day in 1996. The original idea was to give children between the ages of 6 – 16 the opportunity to learn about business in a fun way. More than 4 000 children participated in KTV Market Day 2005.
Through this event KTV aims to develop and encourage entrepreneurial skills amongst the youth and to build a foundation enabling school leavers to become job-makers as opposed to job seekers.
Children can compete in two categories, namely stalls where they can sell their own creations or products, or they can perform, such as singing or dancing. Participating schools stand to win a cash prize of R10 000 for their school library.
