New in SHER consulting


Nature & Business Alliance Africa (Pty) Ltd is a management consulting company that specializes in safety, health, environment and risk (SHER) has just opened up office in Bloemfontein. It is a black-owned company with more than 80 years collective experience in the safety, health, environment, risk and human resource management field. The company has offices in Roodepoort and Bloemfontein and is in the process of expanding to KwaZulu Natal with a branch office in Durban.
Executive Chairman and majority shareholder is Nathaniel Maphathe, with Alfonso Niemand as managing director. The regional manager for the Free State is Dick Conradie, based in Bloemfontein.
Says Conradie: “It required hard work to implement the ISO/IEC-17020 Management Standard and to use it in preparation for the assessments by the assessors of SANAS. We are proud of the renowned accreditation that is recognized in more than 20 countries around the world. It was a rigorous preparation process, but the company is now well positioned to provide safety and health inspection and risk assessment services to our clients that comply with the most stringent international standards.”

New in SHER consulting


The Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) body at the University of the Free State made an impressive presentation to invitees from the business sector at a business breakfast held on 27 August 2005 at Lazy Lizzard Guesthouse, Bloemfontein. Present were amongst others, from left Mr. Derek Vorster (PricewaterhouseCoopers), Ms. Mpho Mothibi (B. Comm. law student and member of SIFE), Ms. Erika Verster (Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, UOFS), Mr. Werner Schmidt (Centre for Accounting, Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences) and Ms. Refilwe Masiba (LLB. student and member of SIFE).
