Crafters Association founded

On 14 May 2004 the Free State Crafters Association was founded in Bloemfontein, with the aim of consolidating the efforts of all manufacturers of arts and crafts and handwork artists in die province and to create a joint forum for action and marketing.
Present at the founding meeting attended by some 120 people from all over the province, were from left Ms. Lizzy Khanye (Basotho Cultural Village), Messrs. Petrus Ntjepela (Ntshwanatsat Arts & Crafts), Derek Odendaal (Dept. of Arts & Culture), Ms. Roselina Sethole (Blue Hlalanani Project), Agnes Fukisi (Itshepeng Project) and Rica le Roux (Dept. of Arts & Culture).
More info can be obtained from Rica le Roux at 082 925 0042.
Meanwhile the Free State Business Bulletin has created an excellent opportunity for all Free State arts and crafts manufacturers to advertise their products on the Internet with photo's and description for only R20 per month or R200 per year. This is in the form of the unique eCraftsMarket on the website www.bulletinonline.co.za. More info from Carien du Plessis at (051) 430 5445 or 084 811 4467.
