Langenhoven Park is no doubt the fastest growing formal residential area in the Free State, standing at present at some 6 200 households consisting of some 4 500 townhouses and 1 700 houses. This accounts for a population of some 18 000. By comparison, the population of a medium-sized town like Parys is, without the township, some 4 500 households and a population of some 14 000.
This explosion at Langenhoven Park is placing tremendous strain on infrastructure such as streets, sewerage and electricity.
