Free State goes for Mrs. UN

• Johann Dannhauser

The Free State will have five representatives participating in the national heat to select SA's representative for Mrs. United Nations International on 1 May 2007. One of these provincial finalists is Mrs. Corné Prinsloo from Hennenman, a 40 year old data typist at the SAPS Hennenman. Each of the finalists for Mrs. United Nations South Africa has to conduct a social welfare project in their communities and on national level. For her community project, Prinsloo held a Tinned Food Run on 17 March 2007 at Virginia for the Charlotte Moll Haven for the Handicapped. On the photo above, Corné Prinsloo is with two of the children from the Beyers Bytjies Nursery School in Danville, Pretoria, during the past weekend as part of the national activities for the Mrs United Nations SA competition. The other Free State finalists are Heidi Oberholzer, Kobie Nieuwoudt and Carmien van Wyk from Bloemfontein and Natasha Joubert from Parys. For more info, see www.mrsunitednationssa.co.za.
