New Unisa identity


At a luncheon held at the Windmill Casino Conference Centre, the Principal and Vice Chancellor of Unisa, Prof. Barney Pityana, set out the new Unisa identity, vision and strategic objectives for 2015. Addressing a selected audience, Pityana impressed with his authoritive exposition of some 45 minutes, speaking without a note in front of him. The theme of the new vision is “An African university in the service of humanity.” The Free State forms part of Unisa's Midlands Region.
